Since 2000, every summer has seen a temporary construction outside that most unassuming and decorous of buildings; the serpentine gallery - the constructions have been the work of some of the world’s leading artists and architects, including toyo ito,oscar niemeyer, rem koolhaas and norway sponsored collaboration between artist and architect, olafur eliasson and kjetil thorsen, this year’s pavilion looks from a distance like someone emptied a giant matchbox in front of the gallery.
